Online collaboration tools have helped me greatly in the ares of conversations, transactions, and collaborations. Using a mailing list was my first approach trying out online collaboration tools. I discovered that by using a mailing list, messages, files, data, or documents are circulated among members of the group. Other approaches I've tried include blogs, text chats and wikis. Presently, I make use of collaboration tools on the TakingItglobal (www.takingitglobal.org) website.

As a social enterpreneur, I've used blogs mostly, to sample opinions and reviews, reach out to a larger audience and exchange ideas. Presently, I reach out to young people in my community by way of organizing free ICT training workshops for them, showing how they can enhance their learning through the Internet. The PowerPoint presentation I use for my trainings was developed for me by my friends from TIG (takingITglobal) and it makes my work effective. Right now, one can get photographs and videos of my trainings online, thanks to the blogger.com

In the aspect of Web2.0, I have really benefitted from it. I can now take part in video conferencing, schedule online meetings, collect, organize, manage and share information as a result of my Web2.0 experience. Learning never stops, I hope to gain more experience using Web2.0, its applications and tools.

1.1.2. Net-Generation
Its good to have a young person reaching out to young people through various ICt collaborations. I will be meeting up with a community based youth group this afternoon that one of TIG our Community Connector intern from Kenya is working with to take them through the TakingITGlobal site, help them sign up to TIG and weekly they will be sponsored to access a community cyber for free to log in to the internet and TIG to be involved, inspired and connected through the web to other young people.

Aniekan - that's really cool to hear that your TIG friend helped you out with your training presentations! A really cool site that just launched is called www.sliderocket.com. They are completely browser based and there's a free version I believe. Try them out and let me know what you think!
